This was a very upbeat and fun session! I always love taking portraits of children because it's always different and lively. We were privileged to take this two year old's baby pictures and he has grown so much since we last saw him! These brothers were very different in personality. One was outgoing and enthusiastic while the other was easygoing and very calm. It was great seeing the two of them together. The older brother (as you can see) just loves his little brother. It was so adorable to see him give his little brother kisses and beg to hold him. Thanks again for letting us capture your children!

What a great opportunity I had to take this family's pictures! We were lucky enough to photograph this couples wedding a couple of years ago and they've returned to capture their gorgeous family. It was a little nippy with the cold breeze but their daughter was such a trooper. I don't think I heard her complain the whole time. It was a lot of fun seeing them and I'm so glad they were in town for the holidays. The session couldn't have gone better:)

The portraits were taken downtown Reno in some of the back alleys.

This was a very cold but very fun morning with this couple. We took them in Verdi at this very unique building. They brought their own props and a change of clothes that made the session very original and exciting. The costume that they wore was so amazing, especially with the setting. We were even able to get their dogs in the pictures. It was great to meet them both. It was the perfect beginning to the day:)

Aren't animals such a joy to have!? I keep trying to convince my husband to let us have a little dog to keep in the house:) These dogs were such a joy to photograph. It was fun seeing them interact with each other and play with their toys. I didn't hear a bark out of them the whole photo session. They found us through Pet Playhouse. We love doing business with them and they are great to take your pets to for daycare. Highly recommend them!

This was another cold windy morning in Clovis, NM but it was spent with another great family:) I got to know them a little bit before we moved and they are such wonderful people. Very down to earth and friendly. I'm so glad to have met them. The kids were troopers as well and they held out as long as possible. We were able to get some great shots in the time the wind would allow us. Thanks again, guys and I hope to see you when I visit again!

Another wonderful family in Clovis, NM! I really wish they would have lived in Clovis while I was there! They were so fun to get to know and they were completely genuine. Their girls are absolutely gorgeous and were stars in front of the camera. Especially since it was so cold and windy that morning, everyone did awesome! Including their 5 month old. We were sure to wrap her up and kept her warm. They were all troopers. I look forward to seeing them again when I visit:)

What a cool day to get married - 11/11/11. A day that most guys would hopefully remember for an anniversary (wink). They were a gorgeous couple and very easy to work with. These are portraits of my gorgeous sister and her beautiful family. It was so hard moving away from them because my sister is my best friend and not having my sister around all the time was so hard! It was nice to get to see her for a few days while I was there. She had gastric bypass surgery last year and has lost 100 pounds and looks amazing! I didn't recognize her when I saw her. She was so passionate about getting her family portraits done because she said this has been the first time she's ever felt good about the way she looked and been excited about pictures. I was happy to help her out in this department:) I love her and her family so much and miss them a ton. Thanks again, sis, for letting me be a part of this time in your family's life.

Every night, Camille reads to her girls on this couch so we had to incorporate it into the session:)

These cute little kids were perfect to photograph! I had a pretty princess and a complete gentleman on my hands. It was great to get to know this family and see them interact with each other. This gorgeous young lady is one of my best friends in Clovis and I had the privilege of taking some portraits for her to showcase her new business and get some shots for her new website. This last week I had the privilege of going to Lubbock TX and photographing a wedding. I was able to stay with my sister in Clovis, NM and visit some old friends. The boys were such troopers for this portrait session! It was quite chilly and they did awesome. I learned that they were huge fans of Mario so I of course had to let them listen to my Mario remix ringtone. They loved it and it worked great in getting them to smile despite the chilly-ness. They are such a gorgeous family and it was fun getting to know them. They are originally from Michigan but have been in Reno for the past few years due to Randy's job. They saw the pictures that I took at the Redhawk Golf Course and loved them so we decided to do them there and get a little bit of fall setting. They looked great and I absolutely love the colors!

It was a little chilly but otherwise gorgeous morning with this couple. They knew exactly where they wanted their portraits taken and I think it fit them perfectly! The Grove did a wonderful job of accommodating this wedding! It was so elegant and beautiful. The Grove is one of those venues that you can decorate however you want and each time it looks different. You can personalize the way you want it to look and it transforms into a whole other place than the wedding they had the week before, the day before, the hour before.

This couple was so fun to get to know and watch throughout the day. Their easy going personalities shown through their portraits and we were able to capture their true selves. Their family was so fun as well. They all enjoyed the events of the day.

Amy's Flowers did the wonderful flowers. Flowers really make any spot more beautiful. Tiers of Joy of the Victorian House did the amazing cakes. It's always fun to see the groom's cake. The grooms always get excited about it!

I had a great time getting to know this young man a little bit better during his portrait session. You might recognize him from his step-mom's maternity portraits I did a few weeks ago. He is a very motivated young man and is going into the Navy after graduation. He is following in the footsteps of some of his family. Anyone going into the military (especially at such a young age) is bound to do great things in this world!

He is also on the rugby team and is taking a couple college classes. He is one young man who will be on the top someday!

Gold Hill Hotel Wedding, Virginia City NV {Reno, NV Wedding Photography}

This location was very fitting for the couple:) The Gold Hill Hotel and Saloon is an old mining hotel and they are both archeologists. It is the oldest hotel in Nevada that is still running. It was established in 1859. It is amazing! I always love going to old places that are just full of interesting history. Located at the edge of Virginia City, this place definitely has history. The whole town does!

It was such a fun wedding.....The Gold Hill hotel did all of the catering (finger-lickin' good!), Michele did an amazing job of keeping everything coordinated and running smoothly, and they even put on a great karaoke show! The guests had a great time after the wedding exercising their vocal cords and getting their groove on at the beautiful pavilion. I think I saw every guest get up at some time or another and they were having the time of their lives. Everyone was very courteous and inviting and it was a real treat to be at this wedding. I think the only thing that could have made it better was Paige (Jennifer's horse). Hehehe.

Josef's bakery in Reno did the beautiful cake (and mini cakes). They were absolutely delicious! David's bridal was responsible for the breath-taking dress that Jennifer wore.

What an elegant wedding this was! We were privileged to do this wedding at The Peppermill Resort Casino. They did a wonderful job of the whole wedding: flowers, cake, catering, wedding planning.......the works! The staff was great to work with and their hotel and casino are just beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, the bride was absolutely stunning! The groom accented her as well in his nice tux. They both complimented each other and made the other feel like a million bucks. They were so sweet......they even got each other wedding day gifts and it was pure magic to see them open each other's gifts. They started off their new life the right way;)

What great dogs these were! They were so well mannered, I never heard them bark once. They would do anything for a treat and posed very well. We even got them outside where they got some exercise playing around the yard with each other. You can tell as soon as you walk in the door that they are taken very well care of by their "mom and dad". They all looked great together!

This family was so easy to photograph! Their little boy was all smiles from the first minute and it lasted throughout the whole session. One year olds can be hard to photograph because they get distracted really easy but he did perfect. He got a little hungry towards the end of the session so we just gave him snacks and got some really funny ones with his treats. He continued to be the center of the party. It was great to see this family interact with each other and display the love that they have for each other. They are such a beautiful family and I had a lot of fun photographing them. They will make for AMAZING holiday cards:)

This was such a wonderful backyard wedding. Very simple yet elegant. Which, I think, is how backyard weddings should be. Laid back and enjoyable; no stress whatsoever and everyone is happy and smiling. That's what this wedding was and it was perfect. Everyone had such a wonderful day celebrating with these two. This was a very easy going, small, quaint wedding at The Pines Resort in Bass Lake, CA. Weddings like this run so smoothly and everyone enjoys themselves. If they're not part of the family, they feel as if they are part of the family. The couple was so accommodating and friendly. You can really see their personalities shine through the portraits. They are very much in love and it was very apparent. The bride was just beautiful which complimented the groom just perfectly!
The bride had the great help of A Salon 7. They brought out her natural beauty and made her look even more stunning than she already was. The have a great staff and easy to work with.

Another session that made me feel right at home! Since I'm married to a horse trainer, of course I'm going to have a blast photographing a couple and their horse! This session went really well. Especially considering that we almost got blown away by the Washoe Valley Lake wind. Paige, their horse, did extremely well too. We didn't even need to shake his biscuit bucket much to get his attention. He did everything that was asked of him. He even tried to get in between the two as they were kissing. He wanted some lovin' too:) This couple was very easy going. It was fun getting to know them. They are both archeologists (which I think are fascinating) and have worked together for years. Yet, they still find time away from work to spend together.

What to say about this wedding........the bride and groom were both stunning! They fit so perfectly together and their love shown through so naturally. We were able to get some magnificent shots all throughout the day. My personal favorites were the ones by the pond at sunset. We were so glad that they agreed to take a little more time to get some amazing shots to cherish forever. They, of course, were great to work with and we had a great time.

Wow! This location was breath-taking!!! The view was so spectacular. I was so excited to be shooting this wedding here. I have always loved the mountains, whether it's for camping or snowboarding. Growing up in Utah, I learned to appreciate the mountains and I sure did at this wedding! It was held at the Winters Creek Lodge up Mt. Rose canyon. It is the perfect place to have your wedding if you like the outdoors. You can have the mountains or the valley as your backdrop. Either one makes for great portraits!
This couple was so in love and they were not shy about having fun. You can just tell from the pictures that this was an upbeat crowd. Everyone was ready to join in the cheers for this couple. I was glad I got to be a part of it:)
House of Fashion is where Stacy got this absolutely stunning gown. She looked ravishing in it; like it was made just for her. She turned everyones' heads walking down the isle in the beautiful dress.
Lindsay Garric of FabYOUglam did all the girls' make-up and did a phenomenal job! She was great to work with and easy to get to know. (She also has the best name ever, hehehe)

Backyard Wedding, Reno NV {Reno, NV Wedding Photography}

This was one of the most laid back, easy going weddings I've been to. It was a very small and intimate ceremony with family and close friends cheering this couple on. Everyone there was very close to the bride and the groom and they couldn't express enough their excitement for these two. The bride and groom were beaming with love and enthusiasm to be joining their hands in marriage. I was so lucky to be an eye-witness at the wedding! They made me feel right at home and part of the family.
The beautiful cake was made by the amazing Josef's Vienna Bakery & Restaurant and the spectacular flowers were by Spark's Florist. The ceremony was held in the Bugenig's amazing backyard and the reception was held at fun Wild Island Water Park. The incredible wedding dress that Victoria was wearing was actually made and worn by her mother at her wedding. It was very sentimental to see her glide through the night in it! Stunning!!!!

You might recognize this beautiful woman from one of our previous sessions. She was one of the gorgeous brides in a trash the dress session that Evan did some time ago. He took three ladies around town and got some GREAT shots of them in their wedding dresses.

This wedding was very unique. The decorations were perfect and looked beautiful! I loved the feathers. It added more personality which is what this couple had.....lots of personality. Another fun wedding at the Tannenbaum. Everyone was laid back and willing to get some silly portraits (which look great in an album). It really makes our job easy and less like a job. Isn't this bride just gorgeous!? She was radiant in her dress from David's Bridal. The groom was just awe-struck by her and it really showed in the portraits. Their love was bursting and it was amazing to capture it on camera.
They had their wedding at the beautiful D'andrea Golf Club. We always love photographing there because it's a great location and the staff is amazing to work with. Their details really set the scene for these two and for their family and friends. The colors really stood out. They had the ladies at Tiers of Joy do their cake it was spectacular! I've never seen a cake of theirs that isn't gorgeous and taste so good. Larry Williams was their DJ who does fantastic work! He is one of the best DJ's in the nation and it's always a real treat to see him to his thing. There's a reason he's one of the top DJ's in the nation......because he's amazing at what he does!

This family was seriously such a joy to photograph! I can't believe how adorable these little girls are. And the mother.......WOW! Supermodel!!!!!! I can't believe she's had two kids! It was so fun for me to get to know them. Evan shot their engagements and wedding and he said nothing but great things about this couple. He is in the Army and was home on leave so we were able to get some family shots done and I was so glad we did. We are so grateful to him and his service as well as everyone in the military. We, in the USA, are INCREDIBLY lucky to have such brave men and women who fight everyday for our freedom. Not only is he brave for serving, but she is brave for being a military wife. I can't image the pain and heartache that comes from being such. Along with that, I'm sure, comes much honor and is very rewarding. We can't thank you enough, Waskiewicz family, for your amazing service to our country. It's people like you that give us our freedom!

This was the most unique wedding I've ever been to! Everything was so original and incredibly creative. From the home-made paper flowers, old time comic magazines for table place cards, tweeting and high five-ing during the ceremony, to the family rock band on the big screen. Being in Reno was a special treat for the Adams not only for their beautiful wedding but also because John was nominated for Best Editor at the 2011 Hugo Awards. Their family and friends all came to see him join union with Christie as well as support him in his huge accomplishments. We are so happy for the both of them and were lucky to be a part of such a fun wedding. Thank you for the experience!

This was such an amazing experience. It was a day full of family and tradition. Everyone gathered around Joel to celebrate his bar mitzvah with him. It was complete with dancing, singing, candles, wonderful food, and most of all love for this amazing young man.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Congregation Temple Emanu-el. The party and festivities were held at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino. There were so many people who helped in making this event one to remember. Larry Williams kept everyone on the dance floor with his incredible DJ skills. He was also the DJ at Joel's older brother's bar mitzvah so it was a treat to have him back. Capturing Memories videography did an awesome job documenting the night on video. They are amazing to work with.

I don't think these yahoos can get any cuter! The Carruths came in for Ryder's one year portraits and we decided to just do all the kids. It was so fun getting them to laugh. They all have such great and unique laughs. There's nothing more contagious than a child's laugh. Ryder was having the time of his life trying to roll around in the backdrop. Apparently, one of his favorite things to do is roll around in the bed sheets at home. We of course had to let him do his favorite thing so we let him go to town on some blankets and he had the time of his life playing peek-a-boo. Being a mother myself, it's always a joy to make children smile. It makes me feel accomplished in a day:)

Loved the location for this wedding! It was at the Barley Ranch Park in Reno. It was very laid back and fit the style of this couple. It was a simple and quint wedding that didn't have all of your typical wedding traditions. They had pie instead of cake, the bride has a BEAUTIFUL tan colored dress instead of a white dress.......It was amazing and refreshing. The bride looked angelic in her dress that accented her curves. These two are truly in love:)

I can't say enough about how fun this session was! Everyone involved was so easy to work with and they made the session their own. I love it when clients come with ideas and bring their own props because it makes it more personal. This couple brought their tattoo gun. Joe is a tattoo artist (Absolute Tattoo) so they thought it would be fun to pretend to tattoo the baby's name on Hanna's belly. I thought it TOTALLY original. I loved the idea and it fit them to a T. I was so glad to get to know this couple as well as Hanna's sister. They were all amazing and can't thank them enough for letting me a part of this baby. I can't wait to meet him and do his newborn portraits:)

The Chism House is such a beautiful place to get married at; full of history and a feeling of home. The cool green grass, the glistening pond, and birds singing in the trees totally set the mood for this wedding. Beach weddings are so fun! The blue sky, clear blue water and sand make all the beautiful colors stand out. Colors were popping out everywhere. This couple was so cute together. You could see how nervous both of them were. It made the ceremony more meaningful. We were drawn into their emotions and felt the love they had for each other.
The ceremony and reception were held a the North Tahoe Events Center. It was a quaint little place on the shore at King's Beach. Before the ceremony even started, it was as if we had the whole beach front to ourselves. It was amazing!
Brian Wilson of The DJ Mobile Entertainment was an incredible DJ! With as many weddings as I've been to, I don't think I've seen a DJ keep people on the dance floor all night. He was incredibly entertaining and had a plethora of different music to match any taste.
The caterer was Kim McConnell of Fig Tree Catering. I can't say enough good things about her food! Mouthwatering, delicious, tasty, flavorful, addicting......should I go on? Would recommend her to anyone.

Here is another session from my trip to TX/NM. Brittni is a such a beautiful bride! I got to take her engagement portraits and am also doing their wedding in November. They wanted to use the Windmill Museum as their venue for their wedding but it happened to be booked already. Instead, they are having it at the beautiful Legacy Center. Since she couldn't get married at the museum she decided to do her bridal portraits there instead. I love all the different colors and different types of windmills. Coming from an agricultural family it was very intriguing to see all of them. Thanks again, Brittni. You are absolutely gorgeous!

This was a wedding I did while I was in Texas/New Mexico. I loved everything about this wedding!!! I had the privilege of doing this couples engagement portraits and they had the same feel as at the wedding. They both dressed up as Louis and Clark. Jake has had an obsession with Superman since he was a little boy and I love that Lacey has gotten on board with him. There was Superman paraphernalia everywhere; Superman cuff links, Superman garter, Superman cake..... It was amazing! This was another one of those weddings that I have a hard time saying is work. I was totally in my element for this one. Having had a cowboy wedding myself, I was in photo heaven! In fact, I told my husband that if we could redo our wedding, this is exactly how I would want it. There were so many details that were simple but elegant and brought out this couples' personalities. They both were surrounded by so many family and friends who were supportive and who were so excited for them. There's no way they can say that they don't have anyone behind them. Everyone rallied around in joining them on their celebration. It was the perfect "down-home" wedding.

This little man was a trooper! He was so funny. He couldn't hold still in one spot the whole time. He is the first baby I've ever photographed that hasn't pee'd on everything too! He did great and I was privileged to have got to photograph him. Even photographed his parent's wedding and Kirek's newborns but I was lucky to do the second session:) I couldn't get enough of his chubby cheeks. I just wanted to squeeze him! What a cutie! Look out girls.....he'll be dating age before you know it!

This little girl was a perfect angel! I've never seen a baby who fusses so little during a portrait session. She was so well mannered. She made want a little girl so bad....seeing her in her little headband and ADORABLE fluffy skirt! I couldn't ask for a better subject to photograph.
Her mommy and daddy are first time parents and they were so sweet with her. You could tell that they fill their home with love for this sweet little girl.

In looking at these pictures, you can see what this couple was after at their wedding..... elegant AND fun. That is just what was accomplished. They had a certain level of elegance and class as well as having a good time.

It was located at the Tannenbaum up Mt. Rose Canyon in Reno. It is a gorgeous location. Its like modern fashion designer meets lumber jack. Being towards the top of the canyon gives it a sense of privacy and the view is breathtaking. You can't go wrong with this location!

This wedding was one full of emotion. It was amazing to see the look on the faces of the bride and groom when they saw each other for the first time as she was coming down the aisle. You were sucked into the joy and love that emulated from their faces. You couldn't help but cry along with them.
It was located at the Hyatt in Lake Tahoe so of course it was beautiful! With the beach, sand, and flip-flops it added to the feel of romance. The bride was absolutely stunning and the groom couldn't take his eyes off of her. True love was witnessed at this wedding.

When you look up love in the dictionary there is a picture of these two. They were so infatuated with each other you couldn't help but stare. You can see how selfless they are and how much they give their all to each other. It was so sweet to see. If the world had more couples like the Zuniga's, it would be a lot better place!
Their wedding was so much fun to photograph. Instead of your typical music playing as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, they had up-beat music that everyone in the bridal party danced to. It was great! I also liked the simplicity of it. It was so laid back and you could tell how much everyone enjoyed being there.
The ceremony and reception were both held at D'andrea Golf Club. Gorgeous!

This girl is so gorgeous! I was lucky enough to take her portraits before she went back to LA. She was raised here in Reno and her family still resides here but she moved to LA about 8 months ago to pursue her dancing career. She has been dancing since she was a little girl and has followed her dreams. It was very inspiring to get to know her and her goals. I wish the best for her in the future.
